I don't really know if this is a bug or something....but when I was practicing/sparring with my friend he went gates and even tho he had 0 hp he was still alive, then when gates turned off he was still alive, is gates hp bugged or something, or is it supposed to be like that >_>'

no while in gates you can not die after gates 1 punch can ko him

This is correct, gates is designed so that you are invinsible for the short period it is active but it will offen leave you vunrable to attack. I recomend using the "Heal" jutsu after gates to insure survival.
